Course Content

The acquisition of specific skills will enable the participant to put into practice the new found knowledge and techniques delivered during the course.

The structure of the programme has been carefully balanced to provide an appropriate mix of theoretical and practical content.  The course is biased towards developing the practical workplace skills required to function effectively and efficiently.

The programme will allow the participants to complete their Personal Development Plans.

The programme consists of 7 weekly workshops incorporating:

  • Outdoor learning outcome exercises
  • Theories and analysis
  • Learning outcome exercises
  • Discussion groups
  • Action learning.

  • Day 2: Inspirational Leader
  • Day 3: Understanding the Employment Relationship
  • Day 4: Strategic Management
  • Day 5: Negotiation, Consultation & Communication
  • Day 6: Managing and Implementing Change
  • Day 7: Managing Personal and Workplace Stressors

 

Method of Assessment

Each delegate will complete a Personality Profile based on their personal strengths and weaknesses as highlighted by each managerial competence and also prepare a critical analysis of learning outcomes from the modules of the programme which will allow them to prepare a personal development action plan.
