Description


    The aims of these courses are:
  • How situations should be handled

  • The legal aspects of Protection of Vulnerable Adults

  • Raising general awareness of the issues around vulnerable adults

  • For individuals to develop an understanding of their role and responsibilities.


Course Content


  • Indicators and signs of abuse

  • What makes an abuser

  • Why abuse occurs

  • To understand Capacity and Consent

  • The different forms that abuse may take

  • How abuse should be dealt with, reported and recorded.


The structure of these workshops has been carefully balanced to provide an appropriate mix of theoretical, interaction and practical content. The content is biased towards raising the awareness and developing the knowledge and understanding required to function effectively and efficiently.
